Signal.X is Hiring!

NVH Engineering Specialist

Job Description

The qualified candidate will join a small well-established engineering company and enjoy a uniquely diverse work experience as we tackle some of the most important challenges presented by the electrification revolution. Exciting startups and established players alike rely on Signal.X for innovative solutions in testing methods, custom application development, and our standardized software platforms: Shield for NVH metric design, Trove for collaboration on very large structured data sets and STAX, our own unique interpretation of Industry 4.0.

Right now, we have a critical need for engineers interested in applying NVH methodologies to meet production requirements. This includes test machine conceptualization, design and build, applying NVH principles for data quality, resonance avoidance, repeatable part handling, NVH metric design, and autonomous defect classification. We offer a progression of technical challenges and the opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team of computer, mechanical, and electrical engineers.

This position is open to degreed engineers with NVH experience, signal processing experience, or data science experience. Formal training at the graduate level is preferred, but equivalent practical experience is also a qualification.

This is a position in our Plymouth, MI office, and the candidate should be a US citizen, or have legal status to work in the USA with the ability to travel internationally on occasion. We offer a competitive salary, merit bonus tied to company profits, nationally recognized Blue Cross Blue Shield health plan, life and disability insurance, paid vacation and holidays. Full-time is desired, however if your skills warrant consideration, opportunities may exist for non-traditional situations such as energetic retirees, part-time caregivers, part-time remote, etc.

Every salaried offer letter includes this definition of what it takes to work at Signal.X:

While we expect at least a 40-hour work week from all of our employees, we do not supervise them in the traditional sense. Instead, your duties will be task-related with the overriding principle that you are available when you need to be, that customer requirements are always met on time, and that you can always be reached during normal business hours. Naturally, we place great value on flexibility, reliability, teamwork, and trust, and your number one performance metric will be your co-workers’ readiness to accept you as a partner in their projects and their ability to entrust you with important project tasks and deadlines. Earning and maintaining your co-workers’ confidence is the essential requirement of employment with our company.
